Adamelia Burgueño Mercado
Head of the National Hydrocarbons Information Center, CNH
Adamelia Burgueño Mercado has worked at the National Hydrocarbons Commission (CNH) since 2009, and currently serves as Head of the National Hydrocarbons Information Center (CNIH). She oversees the management of technical data at the CNIH and at Mexico’s two National Core Centers, and coordinates the statistics and economic analysis published on the CNH’s award-winning official websites.
Since joining the CNH, she has been in charge of the economic and financial evaluation of oil and gas project plans submitted for the Commission’s approval, which has required developing diverse fiscal models for Entitlement Licenses and Contracts. She is in charge of creating production and investment projections for the hydrocarbons sector, as well as oil and gas statistics made available online by the CNH via interactive data visualization tools. She coordinated the first contract tender bidding events held in Mexico, designing and implementing an online bid reception system that allowed for the publication of information in real time.
Adamelia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Centro de Investigación y Docencia Económica (CIDE), a Master’s degree in Operational Research from the London School of Economics, and a Master’s degree in Public Policy from the University of Chicago.
