Akira Suda is Assistant General Manager of Power Business Department – I., Marubeni Corporation.

He has 18 years of experience at both a strategic and operational levels with power infrastructure businesses, and has a track record of marketing, origination, development and execution of IPP (Independent Power Producer) projects mainly in Asia-Pacific region.

He has been leading growth of Marubeni’s power business in the region, by developing various IPP projects as Vice President (Development) in Marubeni Asian Power Limited in Hong Kong, and Executive Vice President (Development) in Marubeni Asian Power Limited Singapore.  Recently, he has focused on development of various types of gas-to-power projects, and acted as general project manager for Jawa 1 1,760MW gas-to-power project, in Indonesia.

Akira is serving as a member of the board in project companies in Indonesia, Singapore and Australia.  He has graduated Waseda University and holds a bachelor of law.
