Alfredo Alvarez Laparte is a Tax Partner and Energy sector Leader, including oil & gas, electricity and mining; based in Mexico City and New York leading the Latin American Business Center.

Alfredo is specialized in international tax services and in the energy sector with broad experience in the Latin American region.
Professional experience and main clients. During his career, he has worked with clients from the energy sector such as Abengoa, Acciona, ArcelorMittal, Baker Hughes, CASA Exploration, Compañía Samalayuca II, Chevron, EDF, ExxonMobil, Gas Natural Fenosa, Gasoductos de Chihuahua, Grupo Alfa, Halliburton, Hunt Oil. IENova, Mexichem, Mitsui, IGSA, Sempra Energy, Shell, Sierra Oil, Troy Energía, Weatherford, among others.

Alfredo is a Certified Public Accountant graduated with honors from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) and warded with ITAM’s “Miguel Palacios Macedo” recognition for academic excellence to the best generation student.
He is President of the Energy Committee at the Instituto Mexicano de Ejecutivos de Finanzas.
