Ashanendu Mandal is now working as General Manager (Production) with ONGC,
the premier Oil and Gas NOC in India. He has joined the company in 1983 and
has vast experience in offshore and onshore oilfields, which also includes
10 years’ experience in upstream marketing from Mumbai. He is now
heading the operations of two areas, well maintenance team, technical and
marketing sections etc. in one of the ONGC assets.

Mr Mandal is a post-graduate in Chemical Engineering from IIT, Kharagpur. He
did his B. Sc. in Chemistry and B. Tech in Chemical Engineering from
Calcutta University. He has also acquired MBA degree in Finance from Indira
Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi and now enrolled for Ph. D in
Chemical Engineering at Calcutta University for “Removal of Phenol
from waste water”. He has also taken advanced management course from
IIM, Calcutta.

Mr. Mandal has undergone several trainings in oil & gas sectors in Houston, Calgary,
Singapore and many European countries. He has attended several international
conferences in more than 15 countries as guest speaker, panel discussion,
roundtable moderation and session chairman. He has published few articles in
Chemical Weekly. He is also a project guide for MBA and Engineering
students.
