Fernando Zendejas Reyes

At present, he serves as Under Secretary of Electricity at the Secretariat of Energy.
He holds a Law Degree from the Faculty of Law of the National Autonomous University of Mexico, where he received the “Gabino Barreda” Silver Medal for obtaining the highest GPA of the 2006-2010 generation.
He is councilor to the National Center for Energy Control and the Energy Sector Coordinating Council; Secretary of the Board of Directors of the Federal Electricity Commission, and alternate Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Federal Electricity Commission, PEMEX and the National Center for Natural Gas Control.
Previously, he served as Head of the Legal Affairs Unit at the Secretariat of Energy, General Director of Coordination in the Office of the Secretary of Energy and also served as Secretary of the Boards of Directors of PEMEX, the National Center for Energy Control, the National Center for Natural Gas Control, the Energy Sector Coordinating Council and the Mexican Petroleum Institute.
He also participated in the drafting group of the proposal for the constitutional reform in energy, the initiatives of secondary laws and coordinated the elaboration of 7 regulations of the secondary laws in energy matters.
He is a member of the National Commission of Party Ethics of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI).
Candidate for a senator for the principle of proportional representation in the federal electoral process of 2011-2012, Technical Secretary of the Presidency PRI and Alternate Representative of the PRI in the General Council of the Federal Electoral Institute.
