Javier Iguacel was born in October 16th, 1974 he  is married to  Maria  Laura  de los Santos, 3 children. Mr Iguacel is a petroleum engineer from ITBA, graduated with a diploma and a medal of honor. Performed postgraduate studies in management development in the lAE. He is fluent written and oral English and Portuguese

Professional background

Currently: General Administrator of National  Roads Direction, self-governing entity under the authority of the Ministry of Transport of the Nation, whose mission is to plan, design, tender and build the national backbone network maintaining and operating the existing net of roads and highways that now reaches 40,000 km.

The organization has 6,000 agents throughout the country and a budget of around 2.3 billion dollars a year.

The challenge is to double the number of highways during the next four years, build 4000 km of safe routes and put in optimum conditions the rest of the network. As part of a long-term transportation infrastructure plan, consolidating inside and outside the National Roads Direction four transcendent values: Honesty, Transparency, Teamwork, Professionalism.

2013 – 2015: Vice President- Business Development in Pluspetrol, the main private oil and gas company in Latin America, op rating in 6 countries. With a key management team of the industry, he was .responsible  for all the new company business globally, and for the direction of the Non-conventional one (Vaca Muerta), where  Pluspetrol became the second company with the highest position of Argentina, after YPF.

2009 – 2012: CEO and Country Manager of Pluspetrol Angola. Creation and incorporation of Pluspetrol Angola Corp., take over managing of the Cabinda South Block operation to replace Roc Oil (Cabinda) Co. (Australian company) and beginning of the committed exploration works. Development of business strategy and structure of staff and logistics.

2004 – 2008:  Pluspetrol. Buenos Aires. International Negotiator, Business Development. Search, selection, analysis and negotiation of new investment opportunities appropriate for the company, mainly in Latin America and Africa. Forward of proposals to the board. In charge of planning, implementation and monitoring of various projects, with responsibility for production, investments and certification of reserves. The period had two production growths, both in Agrio reservoirs and in the Rayoso group. Coach of trainees and interns.

2001:  Pluspetrol.  Buenos  Aires. Controller of petroleum services. Responsibility for the recruitment and management of petroleum service contracts   (drilling-completion-specials).  Drawing up of specific terms and clauses in contracts for the Neuquén basin, and Northwest and Peru basin

1998- 2000: YPF. Malargüe, Mendoza. Production Engineer. Working on the design and optimization of extraction, production facilities and stimulation of heavy to extra heavy crude sites (9-14° API). Pulling team supervisor with responsibility for staffing and budget

1996:  lnlab S.A. laboratory technician. Work in the laboratory of special tests, studying the technical feasibility of injecting C02 under miscibility conditions to reduce viscosity of oil in basic conditions at a site of the Neuquen basin.

Other activities

2015- PRO Candidate for Mayor in the city of Capitan Sarmiento, Buenos Aires province, winning the PASO (primary elections) and being defeated in the main election by two hundred votes.

2013- present: President and shareholder of a company of intensive exploitation of cattle, Productos del Sur.

2007 – 2008/2013 – 2014: President of the nonprofit   Civil Association Emprendimiento  Comunitario  Educativoll This association runs the school Nuevo  Colegio lngles bilingual, secular and mixed with all levels (from nursery room to the last year of the polymodal)  in the province of Buenos Aires. During the administration, the building of the educational complex that includes more than 1500 m2 facilities was completed; a scholarship fund was created and enrollment grew about 50%.

2007 – 2008: Guest professor at the postgraduate course of Oil and Gas Economy and assistant professor in the grade chair Site Development”  of ITBA.

2008: Founding member of ERGON E&A (energy and food). Project related to the production and export of biodiesel from soybean and colza oils with use of food sub-products.

2003:  Responsible for the preparation of the electoral platform of a candidate for municipal mayor of Rincon de los Sauces, Neuquén. District General Attorney.

1997: President of the Student Center of ITBA, “CEITBA”.

1996: Founder and director of the magazine “Perspectiva”, published by the CEITBA.
