Leonardo Osorio heads SMBC’s Natural Resources project finance team, which covers oil and gas as well as metals and mining projects within Latin America. Leonardo has more than 20 years of banking experience, having worked for 17 years at leading international commercial banks and founded and managed a financial advisory boutique for three years. Prior to joining SMBC, Leonardo led the Latin America financial advisory business for CACIB.

Leonardo has broad experience covering financial structuring of complex multisource financings in the region. His areas of expertise include leading financial advisory and arranging transactions as well as working on deal teams for M&A and capital market transactions. Leonardo holds an Electrical Engineering degree from Universidad Simón Bolívar and an MBA from MIT-Sloan.L
