Marc van Rooijen is Senior Commercial Advisor at Shell International Exploration and Production and is based in The Hague, Netherlands. For Shell’s Mozambique Afungi GTL and Power project, he is responsible for enabling the infrastructure requirements and development of the electrical grid in Cabo Delgado to enable the evacuation of some 80MW of co-generated power from the Afungi project to the grid.

Marc joined Shell in March 2012. Prior to his work at Shell, Marc worked 10 years with General Electric Oil & Gas.

Marc holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Delft University of Technology in The Netherlands (2001), and an MBA from IMD International in Switzerland (2011).
