With 20 years of experience in the sector, Sebastián Kind was appointed as Undersecretary of Renewable Energy in December 2015.
He is a mechanical engineer from the National Technological University and a Master of Science in Renewable Energy (EUREC Agency, Brussels, University of Zaragoza, UTN of Athens). He was one of the main promoters of Law 27.191 for the promotion of the use of renewable sources for the generation of electric power.
He leads, among other programs, the execution of RenovAr, recently converted into a case study by Harvard University, which through an innovative long-term project structuring mechanism is transforming the Argentine electricity matrix with amazing results.
In 2018 he was appointed as President of the Board of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), and was awarded a grant from the Eisenhower Foundation of Philadelphia, United States; At the same time he was elected as one of the 100 Global Young Leaders by the World Economic Forum based in Geneva, Switzerland.
