Shan Weiguo, is Head of Gas Market Research at CNPC Economics and Technology Research Institute (ETRI). In the past 20 years, Mr. Shan has been involved in dozens of research projects on oil and gas market, petroleum fiscal terms, project financing, NOC-IOC corporate strategy, energy policy and energy security.

Mr Shan, graduated from International Relation School of Peking University, with LLM (Master of law) in International Politics and International Organizations, and once studied or worked as a visiting scholar in Dundee University (UK), University of Nebraska at Omaha (USA) and International Energy Forum (IEF) at Riyadh, KSA.

Mr Shan is an author of wide-ranging professional articles and is frequently interviewed by news media and consulted by the industry domestic and abroad.
