Stuart Cooper is Senior Vice President of Portfolio & Commercial for the Oil & Gas business formerly owned by DONG Energy which was sold this year to INEOS. He has overall responsibility for Exploration, Business Development, Legal and Commercial activities.

Stuart trained and practised as a corporate lawyer, before joining Total and focusing on the business development and commercial worlds. He has had a 25 year career in upstream oil and gas and has led numerous transactions and projects throughout Europe, Canada, North Africa, Latin America and the Middle East.

Most recently this had included the successful IPO of DONG Energy and re-structuring and sale of DONG Oil & Gas. Stuart graduated in law from Manchester University, holds an MSc from Aberdeen University in Oil and Gas Technology and Management and is a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.
