Zach Gerland
Director – Energy Private Equity, Castlelake
Mr. Gerland joined Castlelake in 2014 and is focused on investments in dislocated industries including energy and natural resources, with a primary focus in upstream oil and gas. Prior to joining Castlelake, Mr. Gerland was a vice president at Quintana Capital, an energy-focused private equity firm in Houston, where he focused primarily on upstream oil and gas investments. Prior to Quintana, Mr. Gerland was an analyst in the energy investment banking group at Jefferies in Houston where he advised on M&A transactions, capital markets financings and strategic advisory assignments for companies in the upstream and oilfield services sectors. Prior to Jefferies, Mr. Gerland was a senior financial analyst at EDF Trading, a leading global commodity trading company, where he had a range of financial related responsibilities including FP&A, corporate development, financial reporting and taxes. Prior to EDF Trading, Mr. Gerland began his career briefly as an auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Mr. Gerland received his M.S. in Accounting and his B.S. in Accounting and Finance with high distinction from Louisiana State University.
